Tour Highlight: Kigali City / Nyungwe Forest National Park / Kigali City

Morning or afternoon drive to the national park, meet your guide around 6.00am, then head down to the forest. Nyungwe Forest National Park is a delight for birdwatchers, with over 300 bird species recorded, including 27 species endemic to the Albertine Rift. Three of these, the Albertine owlet, red-collared babbler and Rockefeller’s sunbird, are unrecorded elsewhere on the eastern side of the Albertine Rift.

Our knowledgeable driver-guide will take you to the park headquarters where you shall meet the birding professional guide. The walking is or about 2 or 3 hours and the maximum group size is 6 persons at any one time. Sometimes we are accompanied by an armed ranger depending on the location of the walk.

Sometimes, we recommend that you hire a porter to accompany you on the trek.
