10 Days Cheetah Trail safari tour itinerary

Day 1: Tsavo East National park

Early morning drive to the southern gate of Tsavo East Park for a morning game drive in the park with an immense horizon, a wild rugged plain, and the opportunity to find all kinds of wildlife.

Elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, cheetah, zebra, gazelle, and so much more inhabit this largest park in Kenya. We shall proceed to the lodge for lunch and a short siesta. After siesta, we hall drive for another afternoon game drive as the cool of the evening begins to draw the animals from their protected shelters.  Dinner and overnight at Voi Wildlife Lodge or similar

Day 2: Amboseli National park

We shall begin the day with an early morning game drive before sunset with a visit to the park’s better-known watering holes, such as Aruba Dam, where you’ll witness the animals. After breakfast, we shall drive to Amboseli national Park for lunch and a short siesta. Afternoon game drive will follow to view the great herds of elephants. You may choose to have an optional visit to the local Maasai tribe to learn up close about their culture and lifestyle. Dinner and Overnight at Amboseli Sopa Lodge or similar

Day 3: Nairobi

Early morning game drive, followed by your breakfast in the lodge. After breakfast, collect your luggage and drive to Nairobi with a game drive enroute. Lunch at Carnivore restaurant, followed by an afternoon at leisure in the city hotel (option of visiting animal orphanage, giraffe manor). Dinner and Overnight at Ole Sereni Hotel or similar

Day 4: Masai Mara Game reserve

An early morning game drive will enable you see more animals like waterbuck, hyena, cheetah, and buffalo. After breakfast, drive to the famous reserve in the world called Masai Mara game reserve. Arrive in time for lunch, we shall drive to the lodge with game drive enroute in the vast rolling savannahs of the reserve

The park boasts one of the highest densities of wildlife anywhere. And besides Africa’s Big Five, you’ll find many other wildlife species on these rolling hills, over 90 types of mammals. After lunch and a short siesta, enjoy an afternoon game drive in search of all the big five animals which are plenty here. Dinner and Overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge or similar

Day 5: Masai Mara Game reserve

Today you shall have full day game drives in the reserve which is home to huge numbers of wildlife. Our day will be filled with unlimited game drives with all meals in the lodge. You will have options of other activities like a visit to the local Maasai people. You can see how they live, their customs, ceremonies and buy some souvenirs from them. You may also choose to do a truly unforgettable experience of early morning balloon safari over the reserve. There is nothing like watching the dawn break over the reserve, lighting up the acacia trees and seeing wildlife stirring into the new day. Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge or similar

Day 6: Lake Nakuru National park

After breakfast, drive to the Lake Nakuru national Park for morning and afternoon game drive in the park as we visit the lake with its pelicans, cormorants, kingfishers, bright flamingos, herons, ostriches and eagles. Lunch will be at the lodge

There’s plenty of big game here, but also, uniquely, the park is home to a large population of black and white rhino at its protected sanctuary. We’ll be watching for these immense beasts but also zebra, hippo, baboon, and monkey. Dinner and Overnight at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge or similar.

Day 7: Samburu Game reserve

Early morning drive through the Great rift valley with a brief stopover to admire the view as you head for Samburu Game Reserve, the semi-arid region of the nomadic Samburu people. Arrive and check in to a Samburu safari Lodge/Samburu Serena Safari Lodge for lunch and short relaxation. afternoon game drive after lunch allows viewing of the rare local species of Zebra and Giraffe. Dinner and overnight at Samburu Sopa Lodge or Similar

 

Day 8: Samburu game reserve

Full day at Samburu with morning and afternoon game drives. Rest of day at leisure. Samburu Game Reserve, which covers about 104 square kilometers. Ololokwe Table Mountain forms a dramatic backdrop to our game viewing. Samburu is also home to the third of Kenya’s giraffe species – the rare Reticulated Giraffe (only found in the Northern parks). This is also where you see the blue-legged Somali Ostrich, the long-necked Gerenuk gazelle and the straight-horned Beisa Oryx antelope. Overnight at Samburu Sopa Lodge or similar

Day 9: Mount Kenya National reserve

After breakfast, drive to mount Kenya national reserve for full day bird and walking experience in the lodge with guides. All meals in the lodge. Dinner and Overnight at Serena Mountain Lodge or similar

Day 10: Nairobi

After early breakfast, drive to Nairobi. Transfer to the airport

Our package for above arrangements includes:
