11 days Valleys of Egypt tour itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Cairo

Upon arrival in Cairo airport, you will be met and greeted by our team and transferred to the hotel in our air-conditioned vehicle. After the check-in, you will have a brief meeting to review your holiday program. Overnight at Le Riad Hotel de Charme or similar in Cairo

Day 2: Pyramids & Sakkara tours

After breakfast, drive to the Giza Plateau to visit the Great Pyramids of Giza: Cheops, Chefren and Mykerinus, the famous Sphinx and Valley Temple facing the great statue. You may proceed to visit the Solar Boat just in front of Cheops Pyramid (extra entry cost). You will have your lunch in one of the local restaurants. After lunch, proceed to Sakkara area to visit Sakkara Complex and the 1st pyramid ever built called Djoser Pyramid. Later, proceed to Memphis which is the Old Kingdom’s capital and famous Necropolis. Overnight at Le Riad Hotel de Charme or similar in Cairo

Day 3: Cairo Tours

After breakfast, drive to visit the Egyptian Museum with your lunch in one of the local restaurants. Later, proceed to the Islamic Cairo to visit the Khan El Khalili which is Cairo’s oldest bazaar. Overnight at Le Riad Hotel de Charme or similar in Cairo

Day 3: Aswan tours

After breakfast, transfer to Cairo Airport for your domestic regular flight to Aswan. Upon arrival, you will be met by our team and transfer to board the Dahabeya River Cruise. You will have your lunch in the cruise and visit the world famous High Dam, the Philae temple which was devoted to the 2 goddesses, Isis and Hathor. Then visit the largest known ancient obelisk which is located in the northern region of the stone quarries of ancient Egypt, the Unfinished Obelisk. Dinner and Overnight on board Dahabeya River Cruise in Aswan.

Day 5: Aswan tours

After breakfast, you will start visiting the historical places in Aswan including the Abu Simbel Temples and Gharb Sohail village, (optional visit to Abu Simbel Temple), Aswan Botanical Garden and Gharb Sohail village (Nubian Village). You will have your lunch onboard the cruise as you sail to Herdiab Island with afternoon tea as you enjoy the afternoon tea. Dinner and Overnight on board Dahabeya River Cruise near Herdiab Island.

Day 6: Kom Ombo

After breakfast, you will have morning at leisure on the island for swimming, then board your cruise and depart for start sailing to Kom Ombo to visit the temple of Kom Ombo which was dedicated to the crocodile god called Sobek and the falcon-headed god called Horus the elder which was the god of the morning sun. Proceed sailing to Beshir Island. Dinner and Overnight on board Dahabeya River Cruise at Beshir Island.

Day 7: Gabal el Silsila

After breakfast on board the cruise, you will start sailing to Kom Ombo and proceed to visit Gabal El Silsila and Sandstone quarries. You will have your lunch on board the cruise as you continue sailing to Edfu. Dinner and Overnight on board Dahabeya River Cruise near Edfu

Day 8: Edfu tours

After breakfast, start sailing to Edfu to visit Edfu Temple which is one of the best preserved temples of the Greco Roman era and the temple of Horus at Edfu. You will enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride to-and from the temple. You will have your lunch on board as you sail to El Kab village. In this village, you will visit El Kab Temple. Dinner and Overnight on board Dahabeya River Cruise on El Hegz Island near Esna.

Day 9:  Esna tours

After breakfast, start sailing to Esna to visit the Esna temple with your lunch on board. You will cross Esna lock as you sail to Luxor. Dinner and Overnight in Luxor West Bank.

Day 10: Luxor tours

After breakfast on board, you will visit the West Bank Necropolis which was the burial place of the Pharaohs the Valley of the Kings. It is here where Howard Carter discovered the tomb of Tutankhamen in 1922. Later, proceed to the Valley of the Queens, the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. You will have your lunch on board and continue to visit the East bank to see the immense temples complex of Karnak, Luxor Temple started by Amenophis III in the 14th century B.C. and extended by Ramsis II. Dinner and Overnight in Luxor West Bank.

Day 11: Departure

After breakfast, disembark from the cruise and transfer to Luxor Airport for your domestic flight to Cairo Airport and connect on your international flight back home or have an overnight in Cairo at extra cost.
