4 Days Gorilla trekking & Golden Monkeys safari tour itinerary

Day 1: Kigali Arrive Kigali and Travel to Ruhengeri

Arrival and transfer to hotel for approximately 2 hours. You can also arrange to stay the night in Kigali depending on the time of arrival. Dinner and overnight at Muhabura Hotel or similar

Day 2: Transfer to Gorilla Trekking

After breakfast, drive to Volcanoes National Park for Gorilla Trekking. You have to be at authorities’ Office at 7am for a short briefing before you can depart on the adventure. After the day’s tour, drive to the hotel. Dinner and overnight at Muhabura Hotel or similar

Day 3: Golden Monkeys Trekking

Volcanoes National Park

After your morning wake-up call and breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters. Here you will go over Golden Monkeys trekking formalities and get a briefing by the Volcanoes National Park guides. After the Golden Monkey trek, have lunch at the hotel and enjoy the scenery. Dinner and overnight at Muhabura Hotel or similar

Day 4: Drive back to Kigali and Visit Genocide Memory

Kigali

After breakfast, drive for  visit to the twin lakes of Bulera & Ruhondo which are very beautiful lakes located at the base of the volcano Muhabura and close to the border with Uganda. They are surrounded by steep hills and large waterfalls with a backdrop of the Virunga volcanic mountains. They were referred to as neglected gems and their deep blue waters ringed by steep hills and tall waterfalls with the outlines of the nearby Virunga Volcanoes provide a spectacular backdrop. After the visit, drive to Kigali to visit the Genocide Memorial Centre at Gizozi. After the visit, transfer to the airport
