5 Days Lion Trail safari tour itinerary

Day 1:  Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Morning transfer to the airport for your morning scheduled flight to Nanyuki. You will be met at the airstrip by your driver and transferred to Porini Rhino Camp in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy. This camp is located within Ol Pejeta Conservancy, a vast 90000-acre wildlife area between the Aberdares and the majestic Mount Kenya. The conservancy is home to a variety of animals including the “Big Five”. It is the largest sanctuary in East Africa for the endangered Black Rhino and is also a sanctuary for rescued chimpanzees. The camp is in a secluded valley, on the banks of a seasonal river and under the shade of acacia trees. Enjoy lunch and afternoon tea in camp and then take an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at Porini Rhino Camp or similar

Day 2: Ol Pejeta Conservancy

A full day in Ol Pejeta Conservancy with game drives and an escorted walk from camp. After dinner take a night game drive in search of the area’s nocturnal animals. Dinner and Overnight at Porini Rhino camp.

Day 3: Masai Mara Game Reserve

Early morning game drive, breakfast and transfer to the Nanyuki airstrip for the scheduled flight to masai mara game reserve. Upon arrival‚ you will be met by a driver who will transfer you to the camp to check in and lunch. Mara Explorer camp is situated on a broad, thickly forested bend of the Talek River in the very heart of the Maasai Mara National Reserve. It is an exclusive five-star camp offering 10 luxurious and well-spaced tents, each with its own private river frontage and views over the River Talek’s wildlife-rich southern banks. The superb setting and location of the camp makes for a wonderful game-watching experience, including from the comfort of your bed, bath or verandah. After lunch you have an afternoon game drive or enjoy other activities offered at the camp. Dinner and overnight at Mara Explorer Camp or similar

Day 4: Masai Mara Game Reserve

You will set out just before sunrise in search of game. The Maasai Mara is known as Africa’s Greatest Wildlife Reserve and is famous for the abundance of lion‚ the Great Wildebeest Migration. In between your morning and afternoon game drive you will have ample time to relax and enjoy the ambiance at your luxury tented camp.

Day 5: Masai Mara Game Reserve

Enjoy a final early morning game drive before breakfast‚ after which you will be transferred to the airstrip for you flight back to Nairobi.
