8 Days Gerenuk safari tour itinerary

Day 1: Mount Kenya

Clients arrive in Nairobi according to their flight/train details. Met and greeted by our customer care team. Offered mineral water and welcome drinks. Immediate drive to Mount Kenya region.  check-in and lunch in the lodge. Afternoon at leisure to watch animals from the terraces of your rooms. Dinner and Overnight at Serena Mountain Lodge

Day 2: Samburu Game Reserve

Early morning drive through the Great rift valley with a brief stopover to admire the view as you head for Samburu Game Reserve, the semi-arid region of the nomadic Samburu people. Arrive and check in to a Samburu safari Lodge/Samburu Serena Safari Lodge for lunch and short relaxation. afternoon game drive after lunch allows viewing of the rare local species of Zebra and Giraffe. Dinner and overnight at Samburu Sopa Lodge or Similar

Day 3: Samburu Game Reserve

Full day at Samburu with morning and afternoon game drives. Rest of day at leisure. Samburu Game Reserve, which covers about 104 square kilometers. Ololokwe Table Mountain forms a dramatic backdrop to our game viewing. Samburu is also home to the third of Kenya’s giraffe species – the rare Reticulated Giraffe (only found in the Northern parks). This is also where you see the blue-legged Somali Ostrich, the long-necked Gerenuk gazelle and the straight-horned Beisa Oryx antelope. Overnight at Samburu Sopa Lodge or similar

Day 4: Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, drive to the Lake Nakuru national Park for afternoon game drive in the park as we visit the lake with its pelicans, cormorants, kingfishers, bright flamingos, herons, ostriches and eagles. There’s plenty of big game here, but also, uniquely, the park is home to a large population of black and white rhino at its protected sanctuary. We’ll be watching for these immense beasts but also zebra, hippo, baboon, and monkey. Lunch in the lodge. Followed by another afternoon game drive in the park. Dinner and Overnight at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge or similar.

Day 5: Masai Mara Game reserve

Early departure for the famous reserve in the world called Masai Mara game reserve. Arrive in time for lunch, we shall drive to the lodge with game drive enroute in the vast rolling savannahs of the reserve

The park boasts one of the highest densities of wildlife anywhere. And besides Africa’s Big Five, you’ll find many other wildlife species on these rolling hills, over 90 types of mammals. After lunch and a short siesta, enjoy an afternoon game drive in search of all the big five animals which are plenty here. Dinner and Overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge or similar

Day 6: Masai Mara Game Reserve

Today you shall have full day game drives in the reserve which is home to huge numbers of wildlife. Our day will be filled with unlimited game drives with all meals in the lodge. You will have options of other activities like a visit to the local Maasai people. You can see how they live, their customs, ceremonies and buy some souvenirs from them. You may also choose to do a truly unforgettable experience of early morning balloon safari over the reserve. There is nothing like watching the dawn break over the reserve, lighting up the acacia trees and seeing wildlife stirring into the new day. Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge or similar

Day 7: Nairobi

Breakfast in the lodge, after breakfast, drive to Nairobi. Transfer to your hotel for relaxation. Lunch NOT included. Afternoon at leisure. Dinner and Overnight at Panafric Hotel or similar

Day 8: Nairobi

Breakfast in the hotel. Morning tour to discover the city of Nairobi. Proceed to Rangers Restaurant at the edge of Nairobi national park for your lunch. After lunch, visit the animal orphanage. Transfer back to the hotel for refreshment. Transfer to the carnivore restaurant for a farewell dinner. After dinner, transfer to the airport according to your flight details
