8 Days Pyramids Tour itinerary by Train

Day 1: Arrival Cairo

Upon arrival in Cairo airport, you will be met and greeted by our team and transferred to the hotel in our air-conditioned vehicle. After the check-in, you will have a brief meeting to review your holiday program. Overnight in Cairo at Overnight at Le Méridien Pyramids Hotel & Spa in Cairo or similar

Day 2: Pyramids & Museum tours / Aswan

After breakfast, drive to Giza Plateau to visit one of the 7 wonders of the ancient world, the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinus, famous Sphinx, and Valley Temple facing the great statue. You will have lunch at one of the local restaurants. After lunch, visit the Egyptian Museum then proceed to the Islamic Cairo to visit Khan El Khalili, which is the Cairo’s old bazaar. Late afternoon, transfer to Giza train station for the overnight train Cairo to Aswan. Dinner and overnight in the train

Day 3: Aswan Nile Cruise tours

Breakfast in the train and arrival in Aswan where you will be met by our team. Proceed to board the Nile cruise for lunch. After lunch, proceed to visit the famous High Dam, Philae temple of devotion to the 2 goddesses Isis and Hathor, and the huge Unfinished Obelisk which is still resting on its side in the stone quarries of ancient Egypt. Dinner and Overnight on board the MS Salacia Nile cruise in Aswan.

Day 4: Kom Ombo

After breakfast, start sailing to Kom Ombo to visit the twin Temple of Kom Ombo to learn more about the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon god Horus. Each god’s monument decorates half of the temple. You will have your lunch on the cruise and sail to Edfu. Dinner and Overnight on board the MS Salacia Nile cruise in Edfu.

Day 5: Luxor Nile Cruise tours

After breakfast, start visiting the Horus temple in Edfu then sail to Luxor. You will have your lunch on board the cruise. Evening belly dance will be your entertainment. Dinner and Overnight on board the MS Salacia Nile cruise in Luxor.

Day 6: Luxor Nile Cruise tours / Cairo

After breakfast, disembark from the cruise and proceed to visit East Bank of the Nile in Luxor, the Karnak temple and Luxor temple, the West Bank of the River Nile in Luxor, the Valley of the Kings, the temple of queen Hatshepsut at El Deir El Bahari and the Colossi of Memnon. Late afternoon, you will be transferred to the Luxor train station for your overnight train to Cairo. Dinner and overnight in the train.

Day 7: Cairo Optional Excursions

Breakfast in the train and arrival in Cairo at the Giza train station. You will be met by our team and transferred to your hotel. Morning at leisure in the hotel. We shall propose various optional tours in Cairo to make use of your free time. Overnight at Le Méridien Pyramids Hotel & Spa in Cairo.

Day 8: Departure

After breakfast, transfer to Cairo International Airport for your flight back home
