8 Days Sights of Egypt tour itinerary

Day 1: Arrival Cairo

Upon arrival in Cairo airport, you will be met and greeted by our team and transferred to the hotel in our air-conditioned vehicle. After the check-in, you will have a brief meeting to review your holiday program. Overnight at Hilton Pyramids Golf Hotel or similar in Cairo

Day 2: Pyramids tour

After breakfast, drive for some 40 kms to Dahshur in the south. Dahshur is a famous royal necropolis in Egypt with many famous Pyramids of king snefru. You will see the Red Pyramid and Bent Pyramid. Proceed to visit the Step Pyramid of Zoser which is the world’s oldest major stone structure built in the 3rd Dynasty (around 2630 BC) for King Djoser. You will have lunch in one of the local restaurants. After lunch, proceed to visit The Pyramids of Cheops, Chefren and Mykerinus. Later, visit the Great Sphinx, the head of a pharaoh with a lion’s body dating back to the time of Chefren. Finally, visit the Valley temple belonging to the Pyramids of Chefren. Overnight at Hilton Pyramids Golf Hotel or similar in Cairo.

Day 3: Islamic Cairo Tours

After breakfast, start your day by driving to the old part of Islamic Cairo to visit El Azhar park. We shall use the golf cart to go to Bab Zuweila Cairo southern gate which was established in 1092 AD, then El Saleh Tala’i mosque 1160AD, then Qijmas Ishaqi Mosque or Abu Hariba mosque in 1482 AD which is one printed on the 50 Egyptian pounds currency. Proceed to visit the Ahmed El Mehmendar mosque 1324 AD, EL Altinbugha al-Maridani mosque 1340 AD, the ancient houses called Bayt Al-Razzaz palace constructed between late 15th century to late 18th century and finally Aqsunqur Mosque which is the Cairo’s blue mosque 1347 AD. Your lunch will be in one of the local restaurants. We shall return to the El Azhar park show room for a video show. Overnight at Hilton Pyramids Golf Hotel or similar in Cairo

Day 4: Luxor West bank Tour

After breakfast, transfer to Cairo Airport for a domestic regular flight to Luxor. Upon arrival, you will be met by our team and proceed to the West Bank of the Nile River to visit Medinet Habu temple, Ramesseum temple and tombs of the Nobles . Overnight at Sonesta St. George Hotel Luxor or similar in Luxor.

Day 5: Dendara and Abydos Tour

After breakfast, drive to Abydos city, south of Cairo in Sohag Government and 135 km from Luxor to visit Abydos, the paintings of the gods and Pharaohs on the walls of the Osiris Temple at Abydos are beautifully preserved in Egypt. Then continue to Dendera (north of Luxor) to visit the Temple of Hathor, goddess of love and joy. Overnight

Day 6: Cairo

After breakfast, transfer to Luxor Airport for your regular domestic flight to Cairo. Transfer to your hotel. Overnight at Hilton Pyramids Golf Hotel or similar in Cairo

Day 7: Alexandria Day Trip

After breakfast, drive to the north, to arrive at Alexandria city to visit Qaitbay Fort which was built by a powerful sultan in the 15th century on the site of Alexandria’s ancient lighthouse. We shall proceed to the new and much-acclaimed Library of Alexandria, the Catacombs which is a sunken Roman cemetery carved into the bedrock. Overnight at Hilton Pyramids Golf Hotel or similar in Cairo.

Day 8: Departure

After breakfast, transfer to Cairo International Airport for your flight back home
