8 Days Best of Cairo & Abu Simbel tour itinerary

Day 1: Arrival Cairo

Upon arrival in Cairo airport, you will be met and greeted by our team and transferred to the hotel in our air-conditioned vehicle. After the check-in, you will have a brief meeting to review your holiday program. Overnight at Hilton Pyramids Golf Hotel in Cairo

Day 2: Cairo Pyramids Tour & Luxor

After breakfast, depart to Giza Plateau to visit one of the 7 wonders of the ancient world: the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chefren, and Mykerinus, along with the famous Sphinx and Valley Temple. Proceed to the Egyptian Museum, Islamic Cairo to explore Khan El Khalili which is the Cairo’s oldest bazaar. Later, transfer to the Giza railway station for your overnight train experience to Luxor. Dinner and overnight in the train

Day 3: Luxor Tours

Breakfast in the train and arrival in Luxor. You will be met by our team and depart to tour Luxor. You will visit the tombs of the West Bank of the Nile River in the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut which was dedicated to the female pharaoh who changed the course of Egypt’s history. Proceed to visit the towering Colossi of Memnon, Luxor Temple which is considered one of the world’s most remarkable open-air museums and the second most-visited historical site in Egypt. Later proceed to the Karnak Temple complex. Return to your hotel. Overnight at Steigenberger Hotel in Luxor.

Day 4: Luxor / Aswan Tours

After breakfast, depart for about 3.5 hours to arrive at Aswan. Proceed with your day tour of the world-famous High Dam and the Unfinished Obelisk in the granite quarries, the preserved Temple of Philae on Isis Island which was dedicated to the goddesses Isis and Hathor. Later, board a felucca and sail to the Elephantine Island.  Later, proceed to your hotel. Overnight at Tolip Hotel in Aswan.

Day 5: Abu Simbel Temples / Train to Cairo

After early breakfast, drive for about 3.5 hours to arrive at Abu Simbel to visit the Temples built for Ramses II and his queen Nefertari. They are located near the Sudanese border where they were relocated in 1968 to avoid submersion by the massive Lake Nasser. Later, return to Aswan and transfer to the railway station for your overnight train to Cairo. Dinner and Overnight in the train

Day 6: Back to Cairo

Breakfast in the train as you arrive in Giza. You will be met by our team and transferred to your hotel in Cairo for full day at leisure. Overnight at Hilton Pyramids Golf Hotel in Cairo.

(Optional tour at extra cost: Visit the Step Pyramid of King Zoser in Sakkara and Memphis)

Day 7: Local Experience Sightseeing Tour

After breakfast, you will depart to visit the villages like Dahshour to see the local Farmers as they carry on their daily farming activities. You will taste the local foods, ride donkeys and watch birds. After lunch, you will proceed to another village called Al Burqa Lake for a sunset view. Later, return to Cairo and transfer to your hotel. Overnight at Hilton Pyramids Golf Hotel in Cairo

Day 8 : Departure

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight back home
